Legendary Ships in Black Flag Resynced

Legendary ships are the Caribbean's hardest naval encounters — endgame boss fights at each map corner requiring maxed Jackdaw upgrades, all three recruitable officers, and mastery of **Perfect Brace**. Black Flag Resynced makes them tougher than 2013 with more health, clearer combat phases, and **changed rewards**. A sixth encounter, **HMS Ipswich**, appears only in the new **A World Without Gold** endgame chapter.

How to Unlock Legendary Ships

Destroy the fort controlling each map region to reveal legendary icons in that corner. You need Ultimate-tier hull, cannons, and mortars plus Ram Dash from **The Padre** officer (Ram Dash no longer comes from beating all legendaries). Legendary ships **respawn over time** after sinking — farm cosmetics repeatedly if desired.

• 2013: Defeating all four corner legendaries unlocked Ram Dash permanently

HMS Ipswich — Endgame Boss

**HMS Ipswich** is not an open-world spawn. You fight it during the **A World Without Gold** endgame in Sequence 11 while hunting Robert Maynard. Heavily armored like La Dama Negra — stay astern, brace against mortars, and **detonate fire barrels with swivel guns** when the ship drops them for massive hull damage. Recommended Loadout
